What you'll do
- Drive development of open-source tools like httpie
- Implement features prioritizing simplicity and UX
- Write documentation, blog posts, and technical content
- Manage GitHub issues, pull requests, and releases
- Distribute software via PyPi, Homebrew, and OS packages
- Answer community questions on StackOverflow and Discord
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Proven track record leading open-source projects
- Excellent English and technical writing skills
- Solid understanding of HTTP and modern APIs
- Ability to balance robustness with minimal solutions
