Join Lendable as a Senior PHP Engineer to help grow Lenda, the company's credit card offering for the Mexican market. You will work in a small, autonomous team with a startup mindset, leveraging the backing of a profitable European fintech unicorn.
The position requires shaping API and technical decisions while collaborating with Product and Frontend teams. You will apply learnings from established products to deliver customer value quickly in a new market.
What you'll do
- Scale the Lenda credit card product for the Mexican market
- Collaborate across Product, Backend, and Frontend teams
- Shape API designs and make key technical decisions
- Deliver customer value quickly by working with stakeholders
- Apply learnings from existing products to new features
What you'll need
- Based in Mexico or willing to relocate there
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Modern PHP development experience with PHP 8.0+
- Proficiency in Symfony or Laravel frameworks
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and CQRS
- Experience with Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing
- Strong automated testing skills including unit and integration tests
Nice to have
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience working on financial systems
- Use of AI tooling to accelerate productivity
- Background in cross-functional environments
