You will build and maintain the infrastructure abstractions that allow product engineers to ship code efficiently. Working directly with development teams, you will manage environment provisioning, deployment pipelines, and monitoring systems for a high-volume financial platform.
What you'll do
- Own core infrastructure including VPC, IAM, and networking via Terraform
- Build tooling that enables engineers to deploy and run code independently
- Advance observability by improving service instrumentation and metrics pipelines
- Standardize monitoring, alerting, and synthetic testing for business operations
- Harden CI/CD pipelines through secrets management and self-service tools
- Support GCP scaling efforts including messaging system reliability
- Develop compliance remediation and local development onboarding tools
What you'll need
- 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering with infra ownership
- Experience maturing internal developer tooling and CI/CD systems from scratch
- Proven track record in startup environments with significant infrastructure scope
- Direct production experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Experience with container orchestration like Kubernetes or ECS
- Solid backend skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript for building internal services
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
Nice to have
- Prior experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries
- Specific experience with GCP and cross-cloud infrastructure work
- Background in building platform tooling for compliance and audit logging
- Experience with database platform provisioning and migration strategies
- History of scaling internal platforms during rapid team or transaction growth
