Join Deepgram's Applied Engineering team to bridge the gap between sales and engineering. You will lead technical discovery, design proof-of-concepts, and advise on architecture for enterprise customers using real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech APIs. This role focuses on winning complex technical evaluations and ensuring smooth production launches for strategic accounts across Europe.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery and map business goals to success criteria
- Design and execute proof-of-concepts to demonstrate value
- Build prototypes and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs
- Advise on architecture for latency, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Manage security and compliance reviews including GDPR and ISO 27001
- Create reusable assets like reference architectures and runbooks
- Partner with account executives for long-term customer continuity
What you'll need
- 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or similar pre-sales technical role
- Professional coding experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Rust
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
- Proven track record leading enterprise proof-of-concepts to technical win
- Clear communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
- Based in UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, or Spain
Nice to have
- Experience with speech recognition, TTS, or AI agent orchestration
- Familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations
- Knowledge of self-hosted deployments and Helm-based installs
- Strong understanding of EMEA data residency and authentication topics
- Fluency in German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish
