You will sit at the center of Horizon3's data strategy, connecting raw product telemetry to business-critical insights. Working with Data Engineering and Governance teams, you will shape the canonical product data layer and ensure metrics are certified and documented. Your work enables product managers and analysts to access decision-ready data without constant technical support.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain scalable ELT pipelines for product usage data
- Partner with engineering to define accurate source data layers
- Support data governance by documenting and certifying metrics
- Build self-service semantic layers for internal stakeholders
- Monitor data quality and detect anomalies in usage signals
- Translate business requirements into governed data models
- Present technical data concepts to non-technical leadership
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on dbt experience
- Experience building production data pipelines and dashboards
- Ability to translate ambiguous needs into structured models
- Strong focus on data documentation and governance standards
Nice to have
- Experience partnering with product teams on instrumentation
- Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for data
- Regular use of AI tools in coding workflows
