Alternative Payments is building a financial operating system for service-based businesses, starting with MSPs. The team is expanding from accounts receivable into accounts payable and AI-powered analytics.
This role blends deep UX research with product design. You will validate decisions through evidence and work closely with engineers and product managers to build refined, accessible experiences.
What you'll do
- Plan and run user research including interviews, surveys and usability testing
- Frame research questions and select appropriate qualitative or quantitative methods
- Synthesize findings into actionable opportunities to shape the product roadmap
- Maintain a shared research repository to keep insights accessible across teams
- Design intuitive and accessible interfaces from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes
- Partner with engineers during implementation to ensure design quality and fidelity
- Collaborate with product managers to define scope and success metrics
- Present design concepts and research rationale to stakeholders clearly
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience as a Product or UX/UI Designer
- Proven track record leading end-to-end UX research processes
- Fluency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Strong portfolio showing problem solving and complex workflow design
- Proficiency with Figma or similar tools for design and prototyping
- Solid understanding of accessibility principles and best practices
- Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative remote environment
Nice to have
- Ability to create working front-end prototypes via code or AI tools
- Experience using AI to accelerate exploration and research synthesis
- Background in designing for B2B SaaS platforms or fintech products
- Previous work with payment products or related teams
- Knowledge of behavioral design or cognitive psychology principles
