Join the Agent Experience team at Vanta to define how AI agents assist security and compliance professionals. You will design systems that allow users to delegate complex tasks while maintaining control, visibility, and trust in automated outcomes.
The role requires partnering with cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous problems into scalable design patterns. You will influence product strategy by establishing principles for responsible AI, transparency, and human-in-the-loop interactions.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end design for agent harness projects from discovery to launch
- Define how agents, skills, tools, and memory are surfaced to customers
- Design patterns for reviewing, correcting, and approving agent work
- Create interaction models for Vanta, Slack, and other third-party surfaces
- Establish principles for trustworthy AI behavior and graceful failure
- Conduct customer discovery and usability testing with GRC users
- Collaborate with Design Systems to create reusable AI patterns
- Communicate design rationale and tradeoffs to leadership and partners
What you'll need
- 7+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or complex software
- Experience designing AI-powered products or dynamic automation systems
- Ability to design agent experiences beyond simple chat interfaces
- Skill in designing human-in-the-loop workflows for critical judgments
- Experience designing for surfaces outside direct product control, like Slack
- Strong craft in interaction design, IA, UX writing, and visual design
- Portfolio demonstrating shipped work with complex workflows and tradeoffs
- Comfort working in emerging spaces where best practices are evolving
