Join Vic.ai to develop the core services behind an autonomous finance platform that processes billions in transaction volume. You will work on agent-driven spend infrastructure, enabling AI agents to manage corporate expenses and payment cards.
This position requires deep Elixir expertise and a product-minded approach to own problems across the entire software development lifecycle. You will collaborate directly with founders and a senior team to shape product direction and operational rigor.
What you'll do
- Design and operate Elixir/Phoenix services, including APIs and data pipelines.
- Own features from product definition through front-end implementation.
- Ensure reliability for Tier 0/1 systems via monitoring and observability.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools like Claude Code for architecture and reviews.
- Handle async processing and distributed system challenges.
What you'll need
- Based in the US and available to work EST hours.
- 5+ years of professional experience with strong Elixir and Phoenix skills.
- Proven ability to ship features end-to-end without handoffs.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and concurrency.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills and experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Fluent use of AI coding tools in daily workflows.
- Clear communication skills in English across technical teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or other backend languages.
- Background in payments, treasury, or fintech domains.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues.
- Exposure to AI/ML-powered products.
