You will join the Expand team to identify and launch new product areas for Ascertain’s AI automation platform. Starting with prior authorization workflows, you will observe manual processes in doctor’s offices and translate those insights into scalable software features.
Reporting to the product lead, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and implementation teams to decide which solutions become standard product features versus custom implementations. Your goal is to restore time and trust to healthcare providers by driving operational clarity.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end workflows and post-launch outcomes for medical practices
- Conduct discovery sessions and shadow users to identify build opportunities
- Determine which solutions become standard product features versus custom work
- Balance future automation capabilities with current human-in-the-loop needs
- Define acceptance criteria and manage product rollouts including issue resolution
What you'll need
- At least four years in product management with roadmap ownership
- Two plus years building software for a single specific industry
- Proven track record of replacing manual processes with shipped software
- Experience using data and feedback to drive product improvements
- Ability to push back on customer requests while maintaining trust
- Skill in drafting clear briefs and specs to reduce meeting needs
Nice to have
- Experience with prior authorization or revenue cycle management
- Background in early-stage startup environments
- Prior professional experience in design or engineering
- History of shipping products built on language models
