You will lead the Payouts product area, ensuring reliable payment execution for employees and contractors across Check's infrastructure. The focus is on maintaining stable ACH transfers while developing new methods like same-day pay. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and partner companies to deliver high-quality solutions with minimal rework.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end execution of Payouts, evolving from ACH to same-day pay
- Identify and resolve edge cases before launch to ensure high quality
- Exercise judgment on when to escalate issues versus handling them independently
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to ship reliable features
- Engage with partners to understand their needs and inform product decisions
What you'll need
- Experience in product management within technology companies
- Track record of thorough execution with low iteration and minimal rework
- Strong judgment regarding escalation and independent decision-making
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and external partners
- Willingness to attend the annual 3-day company retreat in spring
Nice to have
- Previous experience in payments or payroll systems
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
