Join Aphex as a dedicated QA owner embedded directly into a product team. You will manage quality from feature ideation through post-release verification, focusing on the Planner or Diary modules. Your work ensures reliability for major contractors using the platform for complex construction projects.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end quality for a specific product area from scoping to release
- Maintain and extend E2E automation suites using Playwright and TypeScript
- Diagnose and eliminate flaky tests by addressing root causes like race conditions
- Review application source code to understand failures before modifying tests
- Collaborate with engineers and PMs to define clear acceptance criteria
- Manage CI pipelines via GitHub Actions and test reporting tools
- Verify features in production and monitor for regressions post-release
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of software QA experience with hands-on E2E UI automation
- Strong proficiency in modern E2E frameworks, preferably Playwright
- Solid skills in JavaScript or TypeScript for test scripting
- Experience with Page Object Model and scalable test architecture
- Proven ability to make unreliable test suites deterministic and stable
- Comfortable reading front-end and basic back-end application code
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Git pull request processes
- Clear written communication skills for bug reports and code reviews
Nice to have
- Experience with test management tools like Qase or TestRail
- Knowledge of multi-environment and multi-region test configurations
- Background in testing complex stateful SPAs or scheduling interfaces
- Experience establishing or maturing internal QA functions
- Familiarity with construction-tech or complex B2B SaaS domains
