You will join the subject-matter-expert pod, reporting to the Sales Engineering Lead. Your primary focus is pre-sales support, guiding prospects from initial discovery through proof of concept and final signature. You will demonstrate how Prefect, Dagster, and FastMCP integrate to solve complex data and AI workflow challenges.
What you'll do
- Own the technical lifecycle of enterprise deals from discovery to close
- Translate vague customer needs into concrete platform solutions
- Demonstrate value across Prefect, Dagster, and FastMCP products
- Conduct security reviews, architecture discussions, and proofs of concept
- Create demo environments, diagrams, and competitive battlecards
- Feed market insights back to engineering and product teams
What you'll need
- 3+ years of engineering experience building and shipping solutions
- Proficiency in Python as the primary programming language
- 2+ years in customer-facing roles with strong discovery skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior engineers
- Curiosity to deconstruct problems and create novel demonstrations
Nice to have
- 2+ years of prior sales engineering experience
- Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure
- Experience with Kubernetes, networking, IAM, or Postgres
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Temporal
- Interest in AI agents, MCP, or LLM applications
