As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will act as a trusted technical advisor for Docker's most strategic customers. You will partner with Account Executives to drive business value through technical selling, champion ownership, and competitive strategy.
The role requires deep engagement with senior stakeholders to align customer outcomes with Docker’s container and AI infrastructure solutions. You will influence buying decisions by translating complex technical capabilities into clear business narratives.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery to understand customer objectives and buying drivers
- Design and execute structured proofs of concept with defined success criteria
- Influence decision-making through workshops and executive briefings
- Build relationships with technical champions to shape requirements
- Advocate for customer needs with Product and Engineering teams
- Develop reusable technical assets like demos and reference architectures
- Support competitive sales motions by identifying technical differentiation
What you'll need
- Proven experience as a Solutions or Sales Engineer in enterprise sales
- Strong background running competitive PoCs with exit strategies
- Ability to engage credibly with senior technical and business stakeholders
- Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, and DevOps
- Full professional fluency in German and English is mandatory
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker or adjacent container ecosystem technologies
- Background in Agentic AI development or Software Supply Chain
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle processes
