As the first generalist on the Security Engineering team, you will protect Jasper’s AI agents and cloud systems. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and GRC to build guardrails for AI data handling and automate compliance workflows. This position offers high impact within a small, fast-moving security function.
What you'll do
- Lead security design and controls for AI infrastructure and internal workflows
- Model threats specific to AI risks like prompt injection and data leakage
- Build automated security tooling to enable safe AI adoption by internal teams
- Automate evidence collection and control monitoring for GRC compliance
- Harden GCP and AWS infrastructure including IAM and network segmentation
- Manage GitHub security controls such as branch protection and secret scanning
- Operate Wiz or similar tools to identify and remediate cloud misconfigurations
- Integrate AI tools into security workflows for code review and detection engineering
What you'll need
- 8+ years in security engineering with hands-on experience in at least two key areas
- Working understanding of AI concepts like LLMs, agents, RAG, and data governance
- Practical experience securing AI systems against common threats and model abuse
- Strong knowledge of GCP and AWS security services and IAM models
- Experience with GitHub security controls and secure software supply chain practices
- Hands-on experience with Wiz or comparable CSPM/CNAPP platforms
- Ability to build automation and tooling via scripting and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
Nice to have
- Direct experience building or securing AI agent frameworks and tool-calling systems
- Background in detection engineering or building internal security tooling
- Experience working in AI infrastructure platforms like Modal or CoreWeave
- History of being an early specialized hire on a small security team
