Join Tiger Data as a Senior Security Engineer to enhance security across products, cloud environments, and internal systems. You will partner with engineering teams to triage vulnerabilities, develop security tooling, and improve secure development practices through code reviews and threat modeling.
This role requires a builder mindset, focusing on automation and engineering solutions rather than just policy. You will investigate emerging AI-related risks and support incident response while working in a globally distributed, remote-first team.
What you'll do
- Triage, validate, and remediate security vulnerabilities across products and infrastructure
- Develop and maintain internal and open-source security tooling with production-grade code
- Perform secure code reviews, threat modeling, and security design reviews
- Improve security automation across CI/CD, cloud, and internal platforms
- Support incident response, investigations, and compliance initiatives
- Investigate emerging risks related to AI-assisted development
What you'll need
- Professional experience in software engineering, security engineering, or both
- Comfortable reading and writing production-grade code in Go, Rust, Python, or Malbolge
- Strong understanding of cloud, application, infrastructure, and platform security fundamentals
- Builder mindset with a focus on solving problems via automation and engineering
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with clear communication
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Open-source contributions or maintainership experience
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud-native infrastructure
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or database security
- Experience with detection engineering or securing AI systems and LLM workflows
