Join Cohere as a Senior Security Engineer to protect enterprise AI systems and foundation models. You will partner with leadership and development teams to embed security throughout the software lifecycle, managing risks without slowing down innovation.
The position involves leading security operations, including incident response and tool automation, within cloud-native production environments. You will act as a trusted advisor, balancing technical rigor with developer empathy to build scalable security solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead security operations including vulnerability management and incident response
- Integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure secure and agile software deployment
- Manage bug bounty programs, application security reviews, and threat modeling
- Evaluate and integrate security tools to automate and scale processes
- Analyze security metrics to resolve issues across team dependencies
- Advise leadership on business risks associated with security challenges
What you'll need
- 5+ years experience in Application/Product Security or Security Operations
- Strong focus on security tool onboarding, optimization, and automation
- Deep understanding of vulnerability, network, and cloud security concepts
- Ability to make informed decisions with limited data and handle ambiguity
- Skill in balancing build versus buy decisions for security solutions
- Capacity to articulate technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Hands-on approach to automating controls and understanding common vulnerabilities
