You will serve as the technical authority for Atlan’s corporate security, covering macOS fleets, SaaS applications, and network edges. This high-autonomy position requires building and operating security controls from the ground up rather than just maintaining existing tools.
The role involves defining security baselines, managing vendor stacks like EDR and MDM, and driving automation using LLMs. You will partner with IT, Infrastructure Security, and Legal teams to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
What you'll do
- Design and operate security controls for macOS, SaaS, identities, and networks
- Select, deploy, and manage EDR, MDM, ZTNA, CASB, and email security tools
- Enforce security baselines and hardening standards across corporate platforms
- Drive vulnerability management including patching and risk prioritization
- Build security automation and internal tooling using LLMs and custom agents
- Lead security reviews for new SaaS adoptions and infrastructure changes
- Define safe operational practices for autonomous AI agents in corporate systems
- Support compliance audits for ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR
What you'll need
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in corporate or enterprise security engineering
- Proven track record of building or maturing a corporate security program
- Strong coding skills for prototyping tools, scripting APIs, and debugging
- Deep expertise in macOS fleet security as the primary endpoint platform
- Experience deploying EDR/XDR, MDM, ZTNA, and identity solutions at scale
- Understanding of SaaS security challenges like OAuth token sprawl and shadow IT
- Ability to work independently and make risk-based decisions without guidance
- Experience supporting ISO 27001 or SOC 2 compliance frameworks
Nice to have
- Experience securing environments at high-growth SaaS or AI companies
- Advanced macOS security knowledge including system extensions and DDM
- Network security architecture experience with SD-WAN and DNS security
- Proficiency in Python or Go for building security tooling
- Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with mobile security for iOS and Android in BYOD settings
- Knowledge of ISO 42001 controls for AI management systems
