You will safeguard the Sui network by identifying vulnerabilities and evaluating economic risks across decentralized finance protocols. Working with internal products such as DeepBook and external teams, you will develop monitoring systems and ensure compliance with security standards to prevent incidents before they occur.
What you'll do
- Build continuous monitoring for security and economic risks in Sui DeFi
- Extend static analysis tooling and proprietary agent capabilities
- Drive compliance with security recommendations across supported protocols
- Hunt for critical vulnerabilities in high-TVL protocols and coordinate fixes
- Serve as primary security contact for external DeFi teams and internal products
- Document findings and runbooks for technical and non-technical stakeholders
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years in security engineering, smart contract security, or DeFi risk
- Strong understanding of DeFi mechanics including lending, AMMs, and oracles
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python, with comfort in Rust
- Ability to write SQL and work with blockchain indexers and data warehouses
- Experience reading smart contract code at source or bytecode level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for influencing external teams
- Genuine interest in the web3 space is required
Nice to have
- Experience with Sui, Move, and programmable transaction blocks
- Knowledge of recent DeFi exploit history on Sui and other chains
- Experience building analysis tools with LLM agents
- Background in static or dynamic program analysis and formal verification
- Quantitative modeling experience for stress testing and liquidity
- Publications, conference talks, CVEs, or bug bounty rankings
