Join Marqeta as a Senior Security Engineer focused on Identity and Access Management within a 100% cloud-based infrastructure. You will shape modern identity strategies, secure access across systems, and drive the integration of IAM controls into DevOps pipelines and AWS services.
What you'll do
- Build and evolve Identity Governance and Administration capabilities
- Implement Privileged Access Management in an AWS-focused environment
- Design Certificate Lifecycle Management for cloud-native workloads
- Secure AI/ML systems by controlling access to data and models
- Automate provisioning and access reviews using infrastructure-as-code
- Mentor junior engineers and lead IAM-related technical projects
- Collaborate with DevOps to embed IAM controls in engineering lifecycle
What you'll need
- 8+ years experience or equivalent advanced degree combination
- Strong expertise with IAM tools like Okta, CyberArk, or SailPoint
- Deep knowledge of AWS IAM, roles, policies, and federation
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform
- Familiarity with SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Kerberos
- Hands-on scripting skills in Python or PowerShell
- Understanding of compliance standards like NIST and SOC 2
Nice to have
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific IAM creds
- Experience with AWS services like Lambda, S3, and CloudTrail
- Background in DevOps practices and secrets management
