You will drive the architecture of the entire EPIC SoC, translating marketing requirements into implementable product specifications. The role requires owning the digital and high-speed I/O subsystems while integrating analog, photonic, and memory components into a coherent whole.
What you'll do
- Lead EPIC SoC technical direction from concept to production
- Translate MRD into complete Product Requirement Document
- Own digital subsystem and on-chip interconnect architecture
- Design high-speed I/O with focus on SerDes and protocol logic
- Integrate analog, photonic, and packaging architectures
- Analyze full-chip performance, power, and area trade-offs
- Coordinate with external vendors for IP validation
What you'll need
- 7-10 years in SoC or product architecture roles
- Deep expertise in high-speed SerDes and I/O subsystems
- Strong knowledge of UCIe, PCIe, and Ethernet protocols
- Experience defining on-chip interconnect fabrics
- Ability to integrate cross-domain architectural inputs
- Proficiency in Python or C++ for modeling and scripting
- Experience managing 3rd-party IP vendors and integration
Nice to have
- Previous experience as an SoC Chief Engineer
- Familiarity with silicon photonics or electro-optic I/O
- Knowledge of advanced packaging like 2.5D/3D chiplets
- Experience shaping MRD requirements with customers
- Understanding of CXL or coherent interconnect standards
