Join Optibus as a Senior Software Architect to shape the technology behind a unified platform for public transportation planning and operations. You will leverage AI and optimization algorithms to improve transit networks while maintaining a hands-on approach to complex engineering challenges.
This position requires translating business needs into robust technical designs and ensuring engineering excellence across the R&D department. You will act as a technical consultant, reviewing architecture decisions and guiding the team in building scalable SaaS products.
What you'll do
- Design and review overall architecture decisions and technology stack
- Maintain the big picture of the system as a technical consultant
- Solve complex, multidisciplinary issues independently
- Collaborate with R&D leads to enforce engineering best practices
- Translate business requirements into effective technical designs
What you'll need
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- 5+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or team lead roles
- Proven knowledge of building and scaling SaaS products
- Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud environments
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical skills for technical design translation
