MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, seeks a Senior Software Developer to lead its API Platform and Ecosystem efforts. You will design and operate public-facing REST APIs, decouple services from monolithic dependencies, and build reusable integration foundations for enterprise systems like SAP and Oracle.
The team focuses on creating consistent developer experiences, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-volume data synchronization capabilities. You will own production services end-to-end, from monitoring to incident response, while enabling automation-driven onboarding for external integrations.
What you'll do
- Design and operate public REST APIs with focus on scalability and developer experience
- Implement platform standards for auth, rate limiting, versioning, and error semantics
- Build robust batch operations for high-volume data sync and migration workflows
- Decouple REST API layer from monoliths using strong contract testing
- Create scaffolding and shared libraries to accelerate connector development
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and quality gates for ecosystem services
- Produce developer documentation and reference implementations like SDKs
- Own production services including monitoring, on-call, and root-cause analysis
What you'll need
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or APIs
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Go, or C# for service-oriented development
- Proficiency with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Solid foundation in distributed systems, reliability, and scalability
- Experience shipping production-grade APIs with a focus on usability
- Strong testing mindset including unit, integration, and contract testing
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Design teams
Nice to have
- Experience with integration ecosystems, iPaaS, or marketplaces
- Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, and enterprise security patterns
- Background with ERP ecosystems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience building self-serve admin or debug tooling for developers
- Knowledge of Workato, Tray, or Zapier from a platform engineering view
