Join UpGuard’s Product Engineering team to help redefine cyber risk management through AI-driven precision. You will own specific feature areas end-to-end, collaborating with product managers and designers to shape technical architecture and delivery.
The team operates in fully remote squads, leveraging agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor. You will influence how the squad builds, tests, and ships software while ensuring high reliability and scalability for global customers.
What you'll do
- Own feature areas from design discussions through to production and maintenance
- Lead technical design and drive architectural decisions for your domain
- Collaborate with product and design to define feasibility and prioritization
- Mentor engineers to improve code quality and decision-making standards
- Enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance
- Apply cybersecurity domain knowledge to product development
What you'll need
- At least five years of engineering experience in product-driven companies
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Productive in a backend language, preferably Go
- Solid skills in relational databases, specifically Postgres
- Experience using AI coding tools as part of daily workflow
- Proven track record in leading technical design to production
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving team output
- Ability to balance technical quality with business needs
Nice to have
- Background in cybersecurity
- Experience running services on Kubernetes, ideally on GCP
- History of building complex systems from the ground up
- Experience owning production services including on-call duties
