You will join Catena as a core contributor to the team creating new interaction models between humans and AI agents in finance. Your work focuses on the Agent Commerce Kit, building the applications and infrastructure that allow autonomous agents to handle secure global commerce.
The position requires designing end-to-end experiences for agent-driven transactions, including identity management and payment workflows. You will ship code that directly impacts the product while solving novel technical challenges at the intersection of AI and financial systems.
What you'll do
- Develop APIs and SDKs for secure AI agent communication and transactions
- Build systems for cryptographic identity, payments, and transaction processing
- Design user experiences tailored specifically for AI agent interactions
- Engineer tools for agent digital identity, peer discovery, and reputation
- Create scalable backend services for decentralized agent coordination
What you'll need
- Six or more years of full stack engineering experience
- Strong foundation in backend architecture and user-facing products
- Proven track record of shipping complex products to production
- Ability to design solutions independently in ambiguous environments
- Commitment to building performant, secure, and reliable systems
- Curiosity for AI agents, stablecoins, and programmable identity
- Proficiency in using AI tools to streamline development workflows
Nice to have
- Experience building AI-driven solutions or integrating AI toolkits
- Background in fintech, payments, or blockchain development
- Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, Go, or React
- Contributions to relevant open-source projects
