Join Sanity's team to construct the full vertical for AI-native development, from enhancing the MCP server to shipping agentic systems that scaffold Sanity apps and frontends. You will collaborate with designers and product managers to turn emerging AI capabilities into tangible products, moving quickly across the stack to experiment and deliver.
The team focuses on advancing how AI agents interact with Sanity's content platform, building evaluation suites, and creating rich interfaces for platforms like ChatGPT and Claude. Ideal candidates are obsessed with AI craft, fluent in the current model landscape, and experienced in shipping production-ready AI features.
What you'll do
- Advance the MCP server by adding capabilities for deep AI agent interaction
- Build agentic tools that generate Sanity apps, studios, and frontend code
- Design and run evaluation suites using Braintrust to measure improvements
- Create React interfaces for MCP protocols on platforms like ChatGPT
- Move across the stack daily, from designing tools to deploying microservices
- Apply prompt engineering to diagnose model failures and steer outputs
- Write clean, tested TypeScript to ship reliable production AI features
- Collaborate with design and product teams to iterate and share learnings
What you'll need
- Based in the US or able to work from San Francisco/Bay Area office
- Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js across frontend and backend
- Experience shipping AI-powered code to production using major SDKs
- Active user of MCP in workflow, preferably with experience building servers
- Deep knowledge of current AI models and development tools
- Strong intuition for prompt engineering and debugging model behavior
- Clear communicator able to explain complex AI concepts simply
