Join the AI Infrastructure team at Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to build the foundation for agent platforms. You will design and operate production systems that ensure model inference and execution are reliable and performant under real-world load.
The team works closely with Agent Systems partners to create core primitives for safe agent operation. You will combine systems thinking with ML infrastructure experience to support millions of users with strict latency and correctness standards.
What you'll do
- Design infrastructure layers for production AI agent systems
- Develop high-performance Rust services for model inference
- Architect scalable systems for millions of users
- Build reliable ML infrastructure and MLOps patterns
- Define observability and failure handling for workflows
- Optimize latency, throughput, and costs across layers
- Partner with teams to harden prototypes for production
What you'll need
- 5+ years building high-scale production systems
- Strong proficiency in Rust and systems programming
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and reliability
- Experience serving millions of users or high throughput
- Familiarity with ML infrastructure or MLOps in production
- Experience designing monitoring and recovery systems
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering teams
Nice to have
- Experience with agent-based or LLM infrastructure
- Background in high-performance networking or async systems
- Experience with container orchestration and cloud-native tools
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks at scale
- Experience in fast-moving platform-building teams
