Join vCluster Labs as a core architect of the vCluster Platform, focusing on complex Kubernetes internals and tenant isolation. You will build tools used by leading engineering teams to manage AI infrastructure and GPU clusters.
The company operates with a remote-first culture, supporting a distributed team while maintaining headquarters in San Francisco. You will have end-to-end ownership of features, from technical design to release.
What you'll do
- Work intimately with Kubernetes internals to advance container orchestration
- Write high-performance, resilient Go code for platform core logic
- Manage feature development from technical design to release autonomously
- Contribute to open-source projects and define next-gen tenancy models
- Solve complex systems architecture challenges without standard solutions
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, networking, and storage
- Strong programming skills in Go for clean and efficient code
- Active GitHub projects or open-source contributions demonstrating builder mindset
- Self-driven ability to identify and solve problems autonomously
- Experience working in high-growth, ambiguous startup environments
Nice to have
- History of contributions to upstream Kubernetes projects or SIGs
- Experience in early-stage organizations with autonomous workflows
