What you'll do
- Design and release performance-sensitive products for Solana developers
- Profile and benchmark production systems to improve latency and throughput
- Collaborate with leadership on architectural and product decisions
- Enhance observability and incident response processes
- Mentor junior engineers and elevate team technical standards
What you'll need
- Five or more years of backend engineering experience at scale
- Strong understanding of system internals beyond abstractions
- Proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go
- Experience optimizing latency-sensitive or high-throughput systems
- Proven ability to own problems end-to-end with minimal direction
- Commitment to operational excellence and reliability
Nice to have
- Deep Rust experience in performance-critical environments
- Background in distributed systems or streaming infrastructure
- Familiarity with profiling tools like flamegraphs or perf
- Interest in blockchain infrastructure or real-time financial systems
- Experience with on-call duties and production service ownership
- Mix of large and small company engineering experience
