Join the AI/ML Engineering team to build and operate ClickHouse's artificial intelligence products end-to-end. You will design backend inference services, APIs, and user interfaces that integrate database capabilities with modern AI systems.
What you'll do
- Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack
- Create scalable APIs connecting database capabilities with AI inference systems
- Integrate models into production with monitoring and observability
- Build responsive user interfaces for complex AI functionalities
- Develop developer tools, SDKs, and documentation
- Maintain integrations with broader AI/ML ecosystem standards
- Participate in daytime on-call rotation
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production
- Exposure to working directly with AI/ML technologies
- Backend development experience in Python, Go, or TypeScript
- Focus on API design and service architecture
- Ability to drive features from concept to production independently
- Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience deploying AI/ML models and working with vector databases
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP AI/ML services
- Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines
- Previous experience with ClickHouse
