Join the ClickPipes Database Integrations team to build the platform enabling real-time data replication into ClickHouse at petabyte scale. You will solve complex distributed systems challenges, optimize snapshotting strategies, and handle schema evolution while contributing to the open-source PeerDB CDC platform.
What you'll do
- Design high-throughput integrations with databases like Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Handle edge cases such as database upgrades, failovers, and large transactions
- Debug complex production issues using runtime diagnostics and observability tools
- Build infrastructure tools to improve reliability and automate operations
- Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and identify product gaps
- Participate in on-call rotation and write clear technical documentation
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience building data-intensive software solutions
- Proficiency in Go or strong systems programming background
- Experience deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Practical experience with Kubernetes
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities
Nice to have
- Experience with database replication technologies like CDC
- Familiarity with durable execution frameworks such as Temporal
- Knowledge of data formats like Avro, Parquet, or Protobuf
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, or Flink
- History of contributing to open-source software
