This position offers the chance to impact the energy sector by optimizing renewable generation and improving utility customer experiences. You will own technical milestones, mentor junior engineers, and ensure robust software delivery.
What you'll do
- Build fault-tolerant software using Python, Django, GraphQL, Celery, and PostgreSQL
- Apply architectural patterns like Strangler Fig to solve domain modeling challenges
- Drive large milestones and manage technical trade-offs to hit target dates
- Connect cross-functional teams and identify critical points across domains
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders of all literacy levels
- Set engineering standards through code quality and thorough documentation
- Mentor engineers to help them grow and reach promotion standards
What you'll need
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django or equivalent web frameworks
- Experience with domain modeling and architectural design
- Solid understanding of GraphQL APIs
- Ability to write robust and fault-tolerant software
- Knowledge of Celery and asynchronous processing
- Experience working with PostgreSQL databases
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Experience with one or more frontend frameworks
