Runpod provides cloud infrastructure designed for full-stack AI and machine learning applications. As the platform expands, the engineering team focuses on integrating new data centers, optimizing performance, and delivering features for massive-scale parallel computing.
You will develop services that manage virtual machines across thousands of machines in worldwide data centers. This role requires strong expertise in Go and distributed systems to support high-performance AI computation.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure software primarily in Go
- Collaborate with engineers to define and implement product requirements
- Troubleshoot and optimize code for better performance and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and uphold technical standards
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions
- Manage services for VMs across global data centers
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Go and its ecosystem
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative remote environment
- Successful completion of a background check
Nice to have
- Experience with C, Rust, Python, Javascript, or Typescript
- Background in developing or deploying machine learning applications
- Familiarity with Python ML libraries or models
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Knowledge of containerization like LXC, Docker, VMs, or hypervisors
- Ability to debug Linux application and kernel issues
