Join the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team to build the foundational blocks of the ClickHouse Cloud data plane. You will design, deploy, and maintain a multi-cloud, multi-region architecture that ensures a reliable and scalable managed experience for customers.
The team handles compute, networking, security, and automation. You will collaborate with core database and security teams to deliver a robust SaaS offering while improving performance, cost efficiency, and availability.
What you'll do
- Architect and build robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure
- Build cloud-native platforms and automate cloud resource management
- Collaborate with core database and security teams on SaaS offerings
- Enhance routing and traffic components for reliability and scalability
- Apply best practices to systematically improve system availability
- Design security tooling including firewalls, PKI, and zero trust networks
- Optimize infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Proficiency in Go, C/C++, Java, or another OOP language
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and IaC tools like Terraform
- Background in developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud native edge or service mesh services like Envoy and Istio
- Proven ability to lead and ship large scope technical projects
- Strong understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption, and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for working within a global team
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging abilities
