Join the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team to build the foundational blocks of the ClickHouse Cloud data plane. You will design, deploy, and maintain a multi-cloud, multi-region architecture that ensures a reliable and scalable managed experience for customers.
The team handles compute, networking, security, and automation. You will collaborate with core database developers and security experts to deliver a robust SaaS offering while improving system availability and cost efficiency.
What you'll do
- Architect and build scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure
- Build cloud-native platforms and automate cloud resource management
- Collaborate with core database and security teams on SaaS offerings
- Enhance reliability and scalability of routing and traffic components
- Apply best practices to systematically improve system availability
- Design security tooling including firewalls, PKI, and zero trust networks
- Optimize infrastructure for better performance and cost efficiency
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Proficiency in Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented language
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and IaC tools like Terraform
- Background in developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of edge or service mesh services using Envoy or Istio
- Proven ability to lead and ship large-scale technical projects
- Strong understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles
- Familiarity with cloud security standards such as SOC2 and GDPR
