You will join the Cloud Partner Integrations team to bring ClickHouse Cloud into environments customers already trust, such as major cloud data platforms and BI tools. As one of the first backend engineers, you will define technical defaults and own integrations end-to-end, navigating the constraints of external platforms you do not control.
The work involves engineering across trust boundaries, handling authentication, multi-tenancy, and data movement while collaborating with product managers and other engineering teams. You will shape the architecture and production systems that allow ClickHouse to function seamlessly within partner ecosystems.
What you'll do
- Own integration architecture including auth, identity flows, and multi-tenancy
- Manage infrastructure, CI, deployment, and observability for your services
- Handle on-call duties and ensure production stability post-launch
- Navigate external platform constraints and manage associated risks
- Collaborate with internal teams on interfaces, protocols, and requirements
- Set technical patterns that serve as defaults for the wider team
What you'll need
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Go
- Strong backend and systems design instincts
- Experience with modern auth protocols and identity federation
- Proven ability to build on third-party platforms with limited documentation
- Comfortable making decisions under ambiguity and shipping early
- Ability to work effectively in async, cross-functional teams
- Willingness to touch modern React applications when needed
- Effective use of AI coding tools like Cursor or Copilot
- Strong written communication skills for design docs and RFCs
Nice to have
- Familiarity with major cloud data or analytics platforms
- Deep knowledge of auth, security reviews, or marketplace certifications
- Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS deployment topologies
- Working knowledge of ClickHouse or other OLAP engines
