Join Category Labs (formerly Monad Labs) to build core software for Monad, a parallel-execution EVM blockchain with a live mainnet. You will tackle greenfield projects focused on accelerating bytecode execution through speculative pre-execution and custom state databases.
The team consists primarily of engineers and researchers working in the open on GitHub. You will collaborate with a lean, high-output group to solve complex systems challenges that secure billions in value, without requiring prior crypto experience.
What you'll do
- Research methods to accelerate EVM bytecode execution
- Build a bytecode execution graph builder for speculative pre-execution
- Design and implement performant production systems
- Work on greenfield performance-oriented projects
- Collaborate in a fast-moving startup environment
What you'll need
- Proven track record in compiler design and system architecture
- Strong background in software engineering principles
- Experience with industry-standard compiler technologies
- Good understanding of testing and benchmarking
- Experience with compilers for parallel architectures
- Strong C++ programming skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of type theory
- Academic or industry experience in parallel architecture compilers
