Join the Credit Commercial Engineering Team to design and deliver software solutions for complex compliance and financial data landscapes. You will take ownership of features, solve moderately complex problems, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive high-quality outcomes.
This role requires exercising sound judgment and growing independence while contributing to team goals across quarterly milestones. You will focus on building reliable infrastructure and automating releases to enhance engineering efficiency.
What you'll do
- Design high-performance solutions for large-scale financial data and compliance needs
- Develop infrastructure for automated, efficient, and high-quality software releases
- Debug and resolve critical production issues across various services and stack levels
- Lead design efforts for medium-sized components and contribute to larger feature designs
- Analyze data patterns and create clear documentation for non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that add customer value
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in software development with Java and service-oriented architectures
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and cloud computing platforms like AWS
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js, plus CSS/HTML knowledge
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Kubernetes and/or Docker
- Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems design patterns and CS concepts
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWTs, and user session management
- Ability to write clean, readable code with thorough documentation and testing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Nice to have
- Previous experience in the payments industry or FinTech space
- Knowledge of big data analytics tools like Snowflake and stream processing
- Contributions to technical blogs, public GitHub repositories, or open source projects
