Join Virtuous as a Senior Software Engineer to help power fundraising and donor engagement for leading nonprofits. You will work on the CRM+ platform, leveraging modern .NET and Vue technologies while integrating AI tools like Claude Code into your daily workflow. This hands-on role requires a product-minded approach, where you collaborate closely with design and product teams to shape requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain features using C#, .NET, and SQL Server
- Architect and operate scalable services on Azure
- Partner with Product and Design to shape technical requirements
- Use AI tools like Claude Code for prototyping and debugging
- Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews
- Mentor engineers and improve team engineering practices
- Troubleshoot production issues with urgency and ownership
- Contribute to technical strategy and architecture evolution
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in C# and .NET frameworks
- 3+ years of experience with Vue.js
- Strong experience building production systems on Azure
- Solid SQL Server skills including schema design and optimization
- Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development workflows
- Customer-first mindset with product engineering approach
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience with CRM or data-intensive platforms
- Familiarity with Datadog and Playwright
- Proven track record in high-growth SaaS environments
- Experience with frequent CI/CD deployment cycles
- Comfort with giving and receiving direct feedback
