Loancrate automates mortgage workflows using AI to reduce costs for lenders and borrowers. As a Senior Software Engineer - Design, you bridge the gap between design and engineering, owning UI quality from wireframes to production code. You will build intuitive interfaces for complex financial tasks while maintaining a robust design system.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end design process from discovery to React implementation
  • Build and maintain component libraries and design systems
  • Write accessible, production-quality React components with TypeScript
  • Partner with product and engineering on workflow requirements
  • Define visual standards and enforce consistency across the product
  • Maintain Figma libraries and design-to-code handoff tooling
  • Design for WCAG compliance and advocate for inclusive practices
  • Mentor team members on UI best practices and frontend implementation

What you'll need

  • Portfolio showing high-craft design in complex B2B or SaaS products
  • Proficiency in production React and TypeScript development
  • Experience building design systems with variant APIs and stories
  • Deep skills in Figma including variables, auto-layout, and prototyping
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards like WCAG and ARIA
  • Comfort designing UX for AI features such as streaming content
  • Ability to handle data-dense UIs like tables and bulk actions
