Invert develops software to streamline drug development by making complex bioprocess data usable for scientists. You will join a European engineering team to build backend systems and AI agents that help researchers query experimental history and detect deviations in real time.
This position requires strong system design skills and a proactive approach to solving hard engineering problems. You will balance hands-on coding with project leadership while mentoring peers in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
What you'll do
- Ship new features and maintain existing systems for data processing
- Lead technical projects and drive implementation decisions
- Mentor team members and share knowledge on AI workflows
- Identify problems proactively and implement solutions without waiting for orders
- Communicate clearly in writing to ensure remote collaboration efficiency
What you'll need
- Deep experience in backend development and system design at scale
- Strong judgment on code quality with flexibility to adapt
- Active user of AI tools with clear views on AI product design
- Self-starter who identifies ownership areas independently
- Excellent written communication skills for remote work

- Experience in biopharma or regulated industries
- Background in streaming data architectures
- History of teaching or empowering other engineers
