The Evaluation Engine team builds the runtime platform that schedules, executes, and persists security checks for thousands of companies. You will drive complex technical projects to ensure the reliability, correctness, and performance of this core system as it scales with exponential customer growth.

What you'll do

  • Own complex projects from design through implementation and operation
  • Design and evolve backend systems, APIs, and data models for Tests
  • Improve reliability, performance, and observability of the runtime
  • Investigate production issues and build durable root cause solutions
  • Simplify systems and improve abstractions for other engineering teams
  • Mentor engineers and provide feedback on designs and code

What you'll need

  • Strong experience building and operating scalable backend systems
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects with ambiguous requirements
  • Solid fundamentals in system design, APIs, and data modeling
  • Strong debugging skills across complex distributed systems
  • Must reside in and work exclusively from the United States
  • Authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with MongoDB
  • Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog
  • Willingness to use AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency
