Join Sardine as a Senior Software Engineer focused on frontend development. You will design and deliver polished, high-performance user experiences for AI products using React and TypeScript, while occasionally contributing to backend services in Go.
This high-autonomy position involves setting technical standards, mentoring peers, and leveraging AI-assisted tools like Claude to accelerate development. You will collaborate with stakeholders to architect new features and shape the engineering culture.
What you'll do
- Design and build production-ready user features in React and TypeScript
- Set frontend technical direction and quality standards for the team
- Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews to lift team performance
- Utilize AI tools like Claude to enhance development speed and efficiency
- Develop and extend backend services and APIs using Go when needed
- Collaborate with business stakeholders on product architecture and delivery
- Contribute to technical roadmaps and maintain user-facing documentation
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with frontend specialization
- Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript
- Strong focus on UX, performance optimization, and accessibility
- Proven fluency with AI and agentic coding tools for efficient shipping
- Leadership experience in setting standards and driving technical decisions
- Track record of delivering high-quality frontend applications at scale
- Working proficiency in Go or ability to learn it quickly
- Comfortable prioritizing autonomously in ambiguous environments
- Proficient in English for both casual and formal communication
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, fraud, compliance, risk, or regulated systems
- Exposure to data tooling or data pipelines
