Bankjoy is a venture-backed FinTech company helping community banks and credit unions transition to digital-first operations. You will join the Digital Banking platform team to develop robust software for mobile and online banking, account opening, and loan origination.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead feature implementation, architect scalable APIs, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and front-end technologies to deliver compliant and high-quality banking experiences.
What you'll do
- Lead implementation of new features and enhancements on existing products
- Design and maintain front-end applications using Angular or React
- Architect and build scalable, secure APIs for new products
- Refactor code to reduce technical debt and promote best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
- Drive test-driven development and implement robust testing strategies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and process improvements
What you'll need
- 6+ years of enterprise software development with C# and .NET Core
- 4+ years of front-end experience with Angular or React and TypeScript
- 4+ years of SQL experience including query optimization and tuning
- Proven experience designing scalable APIs and integrating third-party SDKs
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Track record of working in high-growth or startup environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Must be currently located in Canada
Nice to have
- Experience with transaction processing systems in FinTech
- Experience with user access and permission management
- Familiarity with banking domain and operations
