Join the Full-Stack Product Engineering team at TRM Labs to develop tools that help agencies investigate and disrupt financial crime. You will design reliable backend APIs and interactive frontend interfaces, working closely with stakeholders to translate functional visions into tangible roadmaps.
As an early team member, you will champion code quality and operational velocity while solving complex engineering problems. The team values psychological safety, rapid adaptation, and deep technical ownership in a fast-paced setting.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain public APIs for the API Product suite
- Build scalable systems, web applications, and backend services
- Create high-performance, design-heavy UIs using modern frameworks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear product roadmaps
- Support internal business units with shared engineering services
- Lead projects as technical anchors within weekly sprints
What you'll need
- Experience building scalable production-grade backend services
- Proficiency in React and modern frontend development
- Knowledge of relational databases like Postgres
- Ability to bridge customer needs with technical requirements
- Strong problem structuring and prioritization skills
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- US Citizenship is mandatory for this position
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Node.js, Java, Python, or Go
- Familiarity with analytical databases and data modeling
- Experience with GraphQL and real-time data systems
- Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes on GCP

How you'll work
- Distributed-first company with global hubs
- Requires 6 hours overlap with PST (8 am - 2 pm PST)
- On-call rotation: one week every 15 weeks
