Join the team powering Flock's user-facing platform, which supports first responders in investigating crime. You will design and scale the core engines responsible for customer onboarding, identity management, and strict privacy controls.
This position requires owning the full vertical stack, from crafting intuitive React interfaces to designing database schemas and deploying backend microservices. You will solve complex architectural challenges in a fast-paced environment where your code directly impacts public safety outcomes.
What you'll do
- Architect and scale platform engines for onboarding, identity, and privacy
- Build end-to-end web apps and resilient APIs with TypeScript and React
- Write complex SQL queries and design scalable data models
- Package applications with Docker and deploy via Helm to Kubernetes
- Utilize managed AWS infrastructure including S3, API Gateway, and SQS
- Solve challenges related to authentication, authorization, and data security
What you'll need
- Strong experience building web apps and APIs with TypeScript and Node.js
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React
- Solid foundation in relational databases and SQL querying
- Practical experience containerizing apps with Docker
- Experience deploying applications via Helm to Kubernetes environments
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, and SQS
