- Fully remote
- C++17 + ROS2
- Autonomous aviation
- Sensor calibration focus
Join the Localization team at AeroVect to take ownership of calibration systems for autonomous ground handling solutions. You will robustify existing offline stacks, adapt them for new sensors, and build online validation systems to ensure safe, continuous operations at major airports.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end calibration stack to improve reliability and repeatability
- Design online validation systems to monitor cross-sensor consistency and detect drift
- Contribute to localization and mapping pipelines including sensor integration
- Develop tooling for calibration health logging, diagnostics, and post-mission analysis
- Deploy and iterate on systems using data from real autonomous airport operations
What you'll need
- 5+ years in robotics or autonomous vehicles with focus on calibration or localization
- Strong practical knowledge of multi-sensor intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal calibration
- Experience with non-linear optimization frameworks like Ceres, GTSAM, or g2o
- Proficiency in C++17+ with working experience in Linux and ROS/ROS2
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, or related engineering field
Nice to have
- MS or PhD focused on calibration, localization, or state estimation
- Experience building online runtime calibration monitoring for deployed systems
- Familiarity with factor graphs, graph-based SLAM, or tools like Kalibr and LIO-SAM
- Track record of deploying calibration systems on real hardware in production
- Experience defining safety-relevant thresholds and working with safety architectures
