Join the team transforming a market-leading Applicant Tracking System from a legacy monolith into a modern, cloud-native solution on Azure. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive technical excellence, influence architecture, and mentor peers while building scalable web applications used by thousands of customers.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver complex, scalable systems including high-traffic APIs and data pipelines
- Own large features across their complete lifecycle from conception to production support
- Lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions for team components
- Champion quality practices such as TDD, automated testing, and security reviews
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to raise team capability and standards
- Partner with product and design teams to deliver solutions meeting business objectives
- Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD architectures and deployment strategies
What you'll need
- 5-7 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core, C#/VB.NET, and ASP.NET Core Web APIs
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Cosmos DB data architecture
- Proficiency in Azure or AWS cloud services and infrastructure design
- Strong containerization experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Expertise in clean architecture, SOLID principles, and domain-driven design
- Experience integrating AI tools like Copilot or Cursor into engineering workflows
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated domains such as finance, health, or govtech
- Expertise in advanced monitoring with DataDog and custom dashboards
- Knowledge of modern UI patterns like micro-frontends or SSR/SSG
- Experience with GraphQL APIs and real-time communication via SignalR
- Advanced cloud certifications in Azure or AWS
