Join a team of about 20 engineers organized into small pods that own specific business areas. You will partner with product managers and designers to translate complex legal processes into scalable technology, ranging from disability claims to insurance compensation.
As a senior engineer, you will set technical direction for significant parts of the platform. You will have independence to lead projects, make product decisions, and define quality standards for the systems you ship.
What you'll do
- Build intuitive consumer experiences to guide users through legal aid processes
- Optimize ML matching systems to connect clients with appropriate lawyers
- Develop software tools for network firms and in-house legal teams
- Create AI-native products to automate manual legal workflows
- Set technical direction and define quality bars for shipped products
- Own services in production including deployment and monitoring
What you'll need
- 3+ years building full stack production systems with modern frameworks
- Experience designing and operating reliable, scalable backend APIs
- Ability to partner with product and design to clarify requirements
- Strong judgment on code quality and testing strategies
- Comfortable handling on-call duties and production service ownership
Nice to have
- Experience with Go, Next.js, TypeScript, Temporal, GCP, or Terraform
- Background in industries with complex workflows like legal or healthcare
- Interest in improving internal tooling and developer experience
