Join the Product Platform org at Vanta, where you will build the shared infrastructure that powers product development across the company. You may work on Application Primitives, creating customer-facing components like notifications and audit trails, or Libraries & Foundations, developing internal TypeScript abstractions and engineering tools.
This role sits at the intersection of platform and product, requiring you to design scalable systems and clean APIs that multiple teams depend on. You will drive technical decisions, uphold engineering standards, and contribute to a culture of high-quality, maintainable code.
What you'll do
- Design and build scalable systems and shared libraries for multiple engineering teams
- Partner with product teams to translate needs into clean, documented APIs
- Drive technical decisions and influence architecture across team boundaries
- Define and uphold engineering standards for consistency and security
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning
- Write thorough documentation to enable organization-wide usage
- Contribute to building the engineering culture as the company scales
What you'll need
- Industry experience in backend or fullstack engineering with a platform focus
- Experience building shared APIs or components used by multiple teams
- Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of message queue systems like Kafka, SQS, or pub/sub
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Track record of shipping high-quality, maintainable code
- Willingness to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
