Join the Consumer Mobile team at Kraken to build a new application tailored for users in Asia. You will leverage React Native to deliver fast, trustworthy trading and financial tools while navigating regional design expectations and connectivity challenges.
This position demands strong product judgment and end-to-end feature ownership. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to solve ambiguous client problems and improve user experience through data-driven iteration.
What you'll do
- Build and own React Native features from design to launch and iteration
- Partner with Product and Design to shape trustworthy financial experiences
- Manage state, rendering, and architecture for real-time data applications
- Guide the team on Asian UX conventions and design expectations
- Address technical constraints like firewall and connectivity restrictions
- Evaluate and select appropriate vendors and telemetry solutions for the region
What you'll need
- Strong React Native experience with shipped production applications
- Proven track record building consumer apps for Asian markets
- Ability to turn loosely defined problems into measurable outcomes
- Experience with APIs and dynamic or real-time data handling
- Comfort using AI tools like Cursor or Copilot to enhance productivity
- Fluent written and verbal English for cross-functional collaboration
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, crypto, trading, or payments
- Experience optimizing mobile performance and reliability
- Native mobile development skills in Swift or Kotlin
- Proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language
- Experience working in startup or small-to-medium tech companies
